I have 9 favorite lists programmed through sentinel. I have all of them set up on quick keys (0-8). I have no problem activating 8 of the lists to scan (0-7) but cannot get the last list to activate or scan. I’ve selected the list to be scanned in the software and on the scanner. I’ve verified that all of the FL’s are setup the same and that the quick key numbers are assigned. I’ve changed the quick key number of the last list to 9 and then 10 and neither worked. The scanner will not recognize that there are any quick keys programmed above 7. I’ve gone through the manual a couple of times, read some posts, gone through all of the FL and scanning options on the scanner and combed the software for a solution but I cannot find one. I’m at a dead end. Please help.

I do. All FL’s are enabled and numbered uniformly. It must hate that last FL I made because if I take FL on quick key 2 and change it to 9 it works fine. I guess I’ll try deleting that FL and start over again to see if that works.

How about the systems and departments that are contained within that Favorites List? If they are off/avoided, this could be an issue.

How about Location Control for FLQK 8? If it is turned on, but you are out of range, that could be an issue.

If none of these are the answer, then look at that "Nothing to Scan" checklist in the sticky part of this page. It may give you some other ideas to consider.

Bottom line is that it will be something very simple and easily overlooked. There are a lot of different settings and any one can upset the apple cart.

You’re exactly right about a little setting being wrong and screwing up the whole list, but I still can’t find what it was. I ended up deleting it in sentinel and starting over on that FL. Works fine now. I even added an additional list to make sure that would work for me too. Thanks for the help while I stumbled through it.

Are the proper service types enabled for the systems in that favorites list? Do the systems in the favorites list have quick keys? Do the departments in the systems have quick keys? If trunked systems, do sites have quick keys?

My suggestion would be to check for disabled System, Site, or Department Quick Keys. If those are disabled, the FL Quick Key will appear to not work.
