Fleetnet in Whitby/Toronto .

I was in Whitby from Friday until Monday and while scanning the Whitby tower I received nothing but MOH ID's. There was no OPP traffic at all that I could here .
I could here OPP on the repeater freqs.
When I left Whitby to return to Sarnia I scanned all the way through Toronto and did not receive any OPP coms until I was past the airport in the west end .
I have checked to make sure everything is programed into the scanner correctly and in fact I have had no problem down there at all in the past .
I can see the Whitby tower from where I was and had 99% signal strength.
Has anybody else had problems like this or can tell me what is going on ?

I was receiving OPP transmissions fine last night (Monday Night) were you running in ID SCAN or ID SEARCH? Thats the only thing i can really think of at the moment since i was receiving transmissions....i will say last night was quiet, but there was defitly some transmissions occuring....hope that helps?

Since you only seemed to pick up analog transmissions, did you check your digital voice settings?

Which t/g groups were you monitoring?
Toronto and Whitby detachements are almost always patahced either on 8768 (Whitby) or Toronna 8720.

I just rechecked the settings in my scanner and found the talk groups for Whitby and Toronto , plus a few more were locked out !!
How this happened I do not know . It solves the mystery for me but the sad part is I have no one to blame except for myself

Good thing I was listening to Toronto while I was down there as well or I would have been really frustrated
