Hi Guys,

I am a little stuck with this FMPP.cc.
I have set up the cfg file, can run everything but I don't get audio upon sync on active channels.

I am guessing I need to enter a command somewhere as the audio output device is set to "Cable Input VB-Audio"

I had to link the photos of the settings from my cloud as RR wouldn't let me upload them

Audio image 1

Audio image 2

Any help would be great.

Thanks again

FMPP's output is set to a DSD+ direct link. Are you not looking to feed DSD+ from FMPP?

To use FMPP with DSD+, you don't need VB Audio cable. Do you need VB Audio Cable for some other purpose? If not, I'd uninstall it.

Ah I understand,
No I don't need the audio cable.. I was in the habit of using it with UNO.

Thanks for your help

Hello slicer wizard ,

After uninstalling vb audio cable and again running FMPP.cc I am still unable to hear the audio from synced dmr. I do understand it remains silent until voice is detected but I am hearing nada.

I recall the RSP1A worked perfectly. However since upgrading to the DUO I am having problems with a lot of software

I do see the tgs and radios logged in event but no sound.

As outputs :
1.I have my TV which I use as the screen and hdmi sound. I have this selected.
2. PC speakers (none plugged in)

I've been at this all day and even with vb cable it's not happening for me.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

In the DSD+ Output menu, it should list all of the available audio devices and you can select the appropriate device. What devices are listed?
Hi pal,

So the event window input / output options control FMPP too.. I thought this was a separate program? I mean I did not know when I run the FMPP.cc it uses the outputs in the dsd menu.

Sorry bear with my lack of knowledge on this program.

I have listed in outputs (the output options in the DSDplus event bar) pc speakers, Toshiba TV, audio cable output

FMPP.cc black Command box shows :

Output 1 = selected Audio cable (Virtual Audio cable)

Output 2 = Cable audio output (Virtual Audio)

As I said, everything was working with RSP1A I don't know what's happening.

Thanks in advance

No, they don't. I told you that FMPP was sending its output to DSD+ via a direct link. At least that's what your screen shots show.

You're misunderstanding things...

If you want FMPP to send its audio output to the TV speakers, you would need to modify the command line that runs FMPP. But that would just send raw digital noise to the speakers and leave DSD+ with nothing to do. Based on your posts above, that's not your goal.

I have listed in outputs (the output options in the DSDplus event bar) pc speakers, Toshiba TV, audio cable output
Those same devices should be listed in the DSD+ Output menu. Have you selected the correct device in the DSD+ Output menu? I assume it's the TV that you want?

FMPP.cc black Command box shows :

Output 1 = selected Audio cable (Virtual Audio cable)

Output 2 = Cable audio output (Virtual Audio)
Yes, but whatever method you're using to run FMPP is telling FMPP to send its audio output directly to DSD+, which is usually the correct thing to do. Are you not trying to monitor some digital signals, like DMR? If so, FMPP's audio output has to go to DSD+. Why do you want it to go elsewhere?

As I said, everything was working with RSP1A I don't know what's happening.
Everything was working with an SDRPlay dongle? Are you not still using the dongle?

Allow me to draw some pictures:

Your current setup:

Digital signal ---> SDRPlay dongle ---> FMPP ---> DSD+ ---> PC Speakers (but you have no speakers plugged in)

Correct setup:

Digital signal ---> SDRPlay dongle ---> FMPP ---> DSD+ ---> TV Speakers

I'm assuming that's what you want/need. If so, tell DSD+ to use the TV speakers.

Thanks @slicerwizard

I do apologise, it would have helped if I was actually running the DSDplus.exe file too.

I thought by using the dsd?+ GUI and using the loader to run the FMPP.cc batch file this was all I needed (because a spectrum was displaying)

I opened up dsdplus.exe while the batch file was running and everything came to life.

Thanks for your patience.

Much appreciated

Regards
