MA has had a lot of large brush fires pop up. Teams called “District XX Forestry Task Force” have been activated, composed of multiple local departments and DCR. Does anybody know about these task forces and their communication plans? In Saugus, there’s been activity on the Saugus main freq but always just Saugus talking.

The state task forces are showing up on MSP talkgroups, such as SOPS TGs.

Events and LPS channels, have been heard so far on the Analog Trunk

And altho dated, this explains much of the statewide Task Forces

It appears today that LPS-2 is being used by the District 6A Task Force deployed in Saugus.

Event 2 appears to be in use as a command channel for the large brush fire in Marlborough.
UTAC42 is also in use in Marlborough for operations, separate from Event 2

Also companies from Worcester County were being coordinated via Mid State Fire which is a Low band Frequency, UHF and a CoMIRS TG

Each fire district has mutual aid and fireground channels listed in SNE WIKI that are also likely being used. Because many of these channels are in direct or simplex mode you will only hear them if you are within a mile or so of the incident.
