Hi everyone. I live in Fostoria and last week our FD made the switch over to DMR at least from what i think they did. I did change my trx 2 to DMR for the fd and did hear them for a few days. But now I do not hear anything. The feq they been using before was 460.5750. I also did hear them on that feq on DMR. But I looked at the fcc license and it showes 453.3375 active as 1/5/21. I do not know if this is DMR NXDN or P25 phase 1. If someone happens to know what they are using for sure could you let me know. Thanks.

Fostoria is DMR full time with low radio traffic, if you keep the TRX 2 in open mode you should be able to hear them talking when they do.

The 453.3375 could be P25 Phase 1, NXDN or analog. It does not show DMR emissions.

I work in Fostoria. I was going to take my 436hp with me and see if i can find out what they using now.

Thanks for the Reply AtlasFBG2. I have been picking them up the last few days myself. Guess the days I had my scanner on they was not busy. I wonder what the 453.3375 is going be used for fire ground maybe? I know they did have a fire ground feq they used sometimes but not all the time. Maybe now with going to DMR they will have one to use all the time not sure.

I left my whistler scanner at work all week. I programmed it to record. It only gets about a handfull of traffic on the dmr frequency daily.

The 453.3375 gets about 70 hits a day but they are all 6 second long beeps.

My guess is it will be a frequency used for fire ground. Someone would have to listen to that when they get a actual fire call.

Fostoria is on DMR Full time, as far as the other frequencies goes not sure it thats the paging only channel. I do believe the rest of the area is upgrading to digital as well.

Thanks for the info guys. I do know i cant hear the fd toneing out guys from home to come in when needed but i can hear them respond to the tone in. At least not on 460.5750 i dont hear the tone. I could before they went DMR. Dont know if the 453.3375 is the off set for that or what its for. Guess ill have to put in the 453.3375 and see what its used for.
