Hey guys, any reason why I'm not receiving the entire conversation between the dispatcher and the crews in the field from the FPL (Phase2)? NW region. I've entered the info via the DB through Sentinel. 536 w\ outside discone 35' up. Thanks

Maybe a dispatcher in another area has set a console to simul-select your area without also patching traffic from the other area. So you will hear dispatches in both areas, but no mobile traffic between them.

Is this a conventional P25 system.?
800/900 phase ll trunking.
Looks like it in my area. All in the 900's. but I never hear crap from them.

The Florida Power and Light system is P25 trunked Phase 2, not conventional.

Thanks, I'll look at this later. I added them in my FL after the hurricane and loaded into the 200, but I've never seen it scan it. I'll need to check services I guess.

Every talk group on the system uses the Utilities service type. While that may be the issue, you state you added the freqs after a hurricane. How did you add them? Conventionally or as a trunked system? Did you assign a quick key or not?

If entered conventionally, I would think you would still hear voice on them.

I had it in trunked, but didn't have "Utilities" checked off in services. No quick key, as I'm still a bit green on those. I'm learning and having fun though. I added one county over, and will pick up a bunch of their stuff. All good on FPL, except I had the whole state and it would lock on and scan all the locations. That took like 10 minutes. lol

from my limited experience with the 2 FPL sites near me, Melbourne and Cocoa - they are NOT (currently) simulcasting.
