The two major search teams on Mount Hood are Portland Mountain Rescue and the Hood River Crag Rats. AMR's Reach and Treat team also responds on the mountain. The sherriff's departments are in charge of all searchs under Oregon State Law. Both the Oregon Air National Guard Medevac unit and the Air Force PJ's (Pararescuemen) also respond for some rescues. Depending on the location, Mount Hood Ski Patrol may also be involved.
