I am programming my Pro95 so I looked up the frequencies for my county. There are two tables, one that says "frequency" and one that says "input." Sometimes they are the same but sometimes they are different. If they are different, which one do I program into the scanner?

The "Frequency" field is the one you want. Mouse-over the column titles for explanations.

The simple explanation is, you would want the output frequency from the repeter but you can program the input but you would have to be close to whomever is transmitting. The simplex frequency is just a frequency that does not use a repeater such as a car/car channel.

It depends on the exact agency you are programming. For example, if you're trying to listen to the CHP (California Highway Patrol) you'll need both frequencies to hear both sides of the conversation. But in MOST cases, just the output frequency is needed.
