Tuning knob on my receiver has gotten extremely hard to turn. Is there any adjustment that I can make to eliminate the condition?

Yaesu FRG-100?

Hello all, I've been looking in to upgrading to a new receiver. I've been looking at the Yaesu FRG-100 for awhile now, looking possible I could purchase it. Could anyone with experience with this radio give me it's pros and cons? Also, is it good for DXing? able to pull in weak signals good...

Thanks Spongella for your advise! The DeToxit worked as you reported.It took 5 days for mine to free up so it would rotate without any resistance. Works like a new one now! But one must use caution when loosening the set screw in the tuning knob, if you loosen it to much it drops down inside the tuning knob, Now all I have to do is find another set screw. I think it is a 2mm screw.
