Ft Collins Homicide as paged

Larimer County Sheriff's have set up a wide perimeter in search of a gunman who shot and killed a man in the 2600 block of East Mulberry Street about 4:30 p.m., today, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.

It's possible the shooting was a work-place involved altercation that resulted in the death of an unidentified man, who suffered multiple gunshots.

"The scene is not safe," a sheriff's spokeswoman said. "We're securing a wide area."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Larimer County SWAT team, when clearing a neighboring unit at the location of the homicide, discovered the body of a male subject who is believed to have committed suicide.

Evidence at the scene, including a handgun, led investigators to believe this person may be responsible for the homicide. Autopsy and ballistic reports will have to be completed for this to be confirmed. Positive identification of both this subject and the homicide subject will be released by the coroner tomorrow.
