G5 for CLMRN

Just received it this afternoon, had it pre-programmed for my area. Wow. Pretty impressive recieve! I have it set it up for Troop H Simulcast only, CC and alternates (as was done in the video) and it's great! Compared to my SDS 100 it's much better at tracking conversations and weak signal. That said, my SDS is like a pocket knife, not perfect for any one thing, but good for a variety of applications. I will use it for local conventional UHF.

In advance of getting it I learned the PPS software and setup it up so I could start scannin' ASAP!

If anyone has one and would like to look at my profile, let me know. It is surprisingly easy to setup, the software is a tiny bit confusing if all you want to do is TG scanning on a P25 system but overall the Unication provided videos are top notch tools.
