Ditto for Burleson Manor Site 01-05.

Active control channel on 853.2250 advertising alternate control channels 853.925 and 853.5325 and voice channel 852.2875 and 852.8750. BSI announcement on voice channel 851.8875.

That covers all six channels - looks like the transition for this site is complete.

Bastrop site 01-07 has live control channel on 851.9500. I'm too far to confirm voice channels.

Marble Falls site 01-03 has live control channel on 852.8. This one is also too far.

Russel - you jumped the gun a bit.

Site 01-02 was still on 866.1375 last weekend. Currently it is straddling 851 and 866 frequencies.

Simulcast layer site 01-01 has partly transitioned down to the 851-854 Mhz band.

The current control channel lineup is ...

866.2875 control
866.5625 alternate
851.1625 alternate
851.4125 alternate

Half the voice channels have moved. I'll update the DB once the transition is complete.

A little confused

I need a little help. It appears that programming a APCO is a little different than that of a EDAC system. I am trying to program a 396t and a psr-500 for austin. I have the software and know how to get the frequencies programmed and the trunking channels. It works, however there are some areas where the system doesn't pick up anything. In reading the forum there are some voice channels and controls channels. What does all that mean? When programming the scanner do i program all of the simulcast channel or just the control channels?

Not sure how to help you.. You said you have the program (software) and all you prob have to do it put in the control channels and make sure they are labeled correctly as Motorola and "Control channel scan" . and with the talkgroups. You'll prob want it to be in the "open" mode to make sure you hear all the talkgroups and not just the ones that you manually program in. That would probably be referred to as ID search rather than ID Scan.

Thanks, the problem that is there are some areas that i am not getting anything on my scanner and there are others where i am. So i was just curious if I was programming it the right way. Do I program all of the "red and blue" frequencies and then everything else. It it necessary to add all of the other channels besides the red and blue?

If you are doing "control channel" scanning and it it working correctly then you should be able to follow a talkgroup. So if you pause on that talkgroup; you should hear all the conversations on that talkgroup. If you are hearing that then it should be correct. If you are only monitoring the frequencies, then you are not following any certain talkgroup. You definitely need to program in the red and blue frequencies and perhaps, until you know what is going on; program in the other frequencies too. From your description; it sounds like you are just monitoring frequencies and the scanner is not following any certain talkgroups. So it sounds like you are not in the correct format. The software should help you with the correct format; especially if it pulls from Radio Reference. When you say there some areas where you don't get anything, I don't know if you mean on this corner you hear radio signals and then if you move 20 feet you don't hear anything. That is a reception problem and could be helped with a better antenna. Try to lock on a police talkgroup and see if you can follow what is going on over the course of 15 minutes. If moving the radio around or taking 2 steps in any direction fixes the problem then it's a reception problem.

I think you are right, in that it is a reception problem. I can hear a signal just fine, but I move about 1500 yards and nothing comes in. I am using Arc500 to program the scanner, and it is pretty simplistic. Do you know of a better attenea than the one that bnc one that comes with the PSR-500?
