GTech seems to have abandoned it's previously used 868.3125 frequency for the police department and has migrated to 853.3125. All transmissions on this channel are P25 and encrypted. Does anyone have a way of verifying this change? Both frequencies are under the WPPB420 license.

Dont know about the change, but GA Tech has the unique distinction of being the most violent college campus in the state of GA with all the armed robberies, shootings, stabbing, car jackings, etc.

Go drive around Ga Tech at night, you will see dozens of transvestite hookers, thugs loitering on every corner, drugs being sold to passing cars.
Atlanta PD did some very consentrated proactive patrols in that area for a few months and made a few arrests but its obvious it has no affect on the gangs that come out an rob. They all know its a campus filled with unarmed students and few police officers.

in this video you will see the Varsity and the GA Tech lots near it on any given weekend. This is a congregation point for hundreds of late night partiers from the clubs. For the past year or so there have been several shootings/shootings/gang activity, etc near the Varsity and on or near GA Tech (these are locals, not students).
Becuase APD and GA Tech cant handle moving hundreds and sometimes more people along, they all will blare their sirens driving around and around which causes so much noise people leave. Actually a pretty good tactic when you have limited resources. Make it look like there are cops everywhere when in reality there might be 8 cops for 3000 drunk thugs.
