System has worked OK for a very long time but now I am getting error "Receiver hardware error detected" in red.

This is followed shortly after by "Receiver hardware error cleared" in light blue.

Using AIRSPY version 2 with DSD+

Any guesses?

Thanks, Ralph VE3EUK since 1969

Unplug and plug it in again. usb might have been moved a hair to not be connected anymore
Thank you for your comment. Sorry for the delay but I wanted a bit of time to be sure it worked or not.
IT WORKED!
I moved some USB ports around and yes, it did seem to solve the problem.
Again, thanks for your input.

I recently had my RTL-SDR v3 (feeding DSDPlus) also do the same thing. Unplug and re-plug clears it. But it has occurred a few more times. This same RTL-SDR was on another computer for months and never had any issues.

Today it happened this time on my NESDR SMArTee (also feeding DSDPlus), same solution. The NESDR is on a USB 2.0 hub. The RTL-SDR is on a USB 3.0 port but a 2.0 cable. I am going to do some moving around of my USB's to get everything on 3.0 ports and cables.

To the DSD guru's, is there anything in the DSDPlus logs that I should look for to diagnose? Thanks, John.

The dongle is losing connection with the usb port its plugged into whether its a port, cable or hub. Used to happen on 2 pc's I use and various hubs. Cleaned the terminals on the dongle with rubbing alcohol and tightened up all the usb ports and now they fit snuggly and stay connected. No more Receiver hardware error detected messages.
