Recently heard that Goshen Fire (Elkhart Co.) switched to VHF. I managed to catch them on 155.19 with a PL of 114.8. Can anyone else confirm this? Just want to make sure before I submit it to the database.

Edit: After some research, looks likes the call sign for this new frequency is WPNY297 which still has pending applications, but the above frequency is listed on this license.

Uh? Only frequency listed under that license is: 155.2350
Other Licenses are: KA77643, KSI355....even checked some county licenses and the frequency you have listed isn't there.

If you go to the FCC ULS and check the call there is a pending application. Click on the little [PA] icon and check the frequency tab and you will see that they have applied for 155.190 and others...

Apparently my edit button isn't working....anyway to those who are following, GFD has switched to a DPL and added a few fireground channels. Check the database for the updated info.

Listening with my old pro-75 with stock antenna, caught them here in Oak Forest, IL last night. No ability to discern PL codes here.

Guessing this might be due to skip. My ears perked up when I heard about calling NIPSCO to the scene of an incident on HACKBERRY, and fire pager tones going off faintly. It was coming in pretty strong too. Normally I only hear our PD dispatch on this freq, and used to hear Tinley and occasionally CCHILLS TAC.
