So my coworker sent me this auction listing, and it was a Xeigu X6100 on auction, I played it off like I wasn't interested but in fact I had my eye on this and I ended up winning it, super deal. However the ad was vague and I had no idea what I had won, too my surprise when I picked it up, it was in its original box, the screen protector was in it and all the accessories were still in the pouches. One glitch, when I got it home I noticed the VFO knob was not changing the freq, upon further inspection the knob actually came right out of the housing, wth. I noticed the built date was OCT 2023 and the warranty decal completely intact. Well I have zero patience waiting and although my intentions were to send for repair, 10 minutes later, I had the radio apart and the screw on the VFO had come apart, I reassembled, adjusted and tested and worked perfectly. I ordered a few things like the crash plates so took it back again, and put a small drop of blue loctite on the screw, adjusted and tonight tried it for the first time. Works awesome, my plan originally was to make a few bucks but not now, going to keep it. I have a feeling the screw did not get tightened and thru shipping it must have just come apart and most likely was returned.
