Based on Amazon.com's recommendations, I purchase below two:

- Uniden-BC-UTGC-BCD325P2
- GlobalSat-BU-353-S4

But how do I make it work? Because BU-353-S4 has USB and BC-UTGC has USB, Round Thingy and a Micro USB (that goes to SDS). So I am left with USB to USB connection, that won't work and USB to Round Thingy, that won't work either.

What do I do?

If you're looking to attach to the SDS 100, yes. you need that splitter cable but you need the GlobalSat BR-355S4 GPS Receiver

that cable has a plug that goes into your usb power port in your car, cig lighter or however you charge things in your car. Then the cable splits into 2 branches. One goes to the GPS receiver (that branch has a round mate for the GPS recevier) and the other branch goes to your scanners micro (more square but small) usb port.

As for the differences, none as far as I know. That Uniden backorder I believe is just a package deal with a serial port (which wouldnt help you on the sds100 anyway. not sure why they suggest that on the sds100. that would be used on the sds200)

Thank you both, that was helpful and I see the mistake I did now.

Is there any difference between GlobalSat BR-355S4 and the one Uniden sells (Uniden BC-GPSK - backorder)?

Yes - and no....
The BR-355S4 is the same GPS puck as the Uniden OE one - exactly the same except for the label.
But.... the cable on the link you posted has that $#@#! serial connector.
You want the BC-UTGC - THIS one:
Amazon.com: Uniden BC-UTGC GPS USB Cable for use with BCD325P2 Handheld TrunkTracker V Scanner, SDS100 True I/Q Digital Handheld Scanner and BC-GPSK Serial GPS Receiver : Electronics

It is a much better cable without that $#@! serial connector.
