Grass Fires

Too many to list going on right now. I can't follow anything because my scanners are all extremely active. Anyone know where fires are taking place, property losses, etc.. Just curious, wind gusts at my parents house in Sperry of 37 mph.

we (Morgans Corner, Skiatook, Country Corner, and Barnsdal Rural) were out on 3 today, from Noon to 8PM. one was off Prue Rd, and 2 near Longshot shooting range off of Ranchland & County Rd 2150. No property loss, just alot of grass.

Owens & Co FD from Vera was even there for the Longshot one, they came in from the backside (he,he).

I'm sure Todd's never heard that one before... I know there were a few big fires in the OKC area as well. Some precipitation in the forcast for the weekend might settle things down for a few days. Wonder how bad things will get before May showers (and tornados!).

I actually got to meet Todd yesterday, he's a pretty nice guy. I also noticed Owens & Co was the only dept there with thier new 2007 F350 in service

Phil, you all need to talk to Todd about becoming a fire district. He masterminded not only Northwest Rogers County, but Collinsville Rurals fire district as well. He's very knowledgeable about getting government money too. With all that lake property you all have you could be rolling some pretty nice stuff! You know before long thats gonna look like Owasso out there..
