I'm having a hard time reconciling the two GRE's; the GRE that made the 2055 with the faulty display and the GRE that seems to have produced some outstanding scanners in the PSR series. It's my understanding that the 2055 problem is widely recognized as a design/manufacturing problem but GRE never took ownership of the issue. I've checked with local RS stores and they're still selling 2055's that are being returned due to faulty displays. I purchased two PSR 400's for work related use and they're great. But I think I'll have to wait a while before I make a personal purchase simply because I'm a little spooked by the lack of a remedy for the 2055. I want to see if any defects surface in the PSR's. Anyone else feel the same way?
