Also heard:
56328 SouthWest General
56329 Fairview General
56330 Parma General
56331 St. Johns West Shore
56332 Lakewood Hospital
56333 Kaiser Parma Hospital
Originating RID was 1878302, no replies

At 8AM he tried calling Olmstead Falls FD on 56446, no reply
Minutes later to Olmstead Township FD on 56465, no reply
Olmstead FD is 56478, he did not call this though.

No other RIDs were registered with any of the TGs at the time besides 1878302.

He called North Royalton TD, the only response from his radio checks was from NRFD
http://sdrscan.com/calls/2014/02/01/1391261873 North Royalton Fire Dispatch console.mp3

FYI, I've heard radio id 1878302 before, I think it's a fire captain or chiefs car. Sounds like the user was checking out the programmed channels on the radio. Trying to see who's up on the system.

Regarding Olmstead Falls, this is the second time I've seen a report of someone trying to contact them on TG56446. The reality is that Olmstead Township FD and Olmstead Falls FD share a Talk Group (in this case 56478) just like they did on the SWRCN system.

With regards to the Hospitals, back when Cleveland Fire/EMS went live they made multiple attempts to contact Metro General Hospital (ER) on TG56115. But Metro had not updated their radio to work with GCRCN.

I suspect that the Hospitals won't make changes till they move from the MARCS Moto Type II system to the MARCS-IP system. Once they are on MARCS-IP their TG's can be patched to GCRCN TG's. That way the Hospitals won't have to worry about which channel they are on, they will just have one.

At Last I Can Monitor this Goofy System

Found something that works in only 1 spot in my home. The deal is that scanner works on south east side of home.Thats the side towards the york alpha tower. The 396 scanner is placed on flat desk with a 1 foot sq. piece of alum. foil. next to it. also had to screw around with the position its real trickey but it works I hear everything now. Just monitored strongville fire, cleveland, and north royleton pd. Some times I have to move the scanner around a few inches one way or another due to weather changes but it always works now very good audio. I jack the audio to a sirus boom box it sounds so real it freaks out the cat.

If someone has the capability to possibly post video of the 436 receiving Cleveland police, that would be kinda cool if possible?

ENC traffic on TG56528

This morning my scanners been receiving short bursts of encrypted traffic on TG56528. I caught a radio id 1878827 (1878xxx is Strongsville).

From the hits on my scanner it appears that Strongsville's TG's at TG56507 (based on radio id) and continue up to TG56522 (Fire Station 4). So I'm wondering if this could be the first tests for Strongsville PD?

TG56528 (Strongsville PD??)

Around 4:00 pm ENC traffic on TG56528 picked up. There have even been a couple of radio checks in the clear. The radio id's that I've seen so far are in the range of 18785xx to 18788xx. I've also seen Console id 1049 in use.

Quite a few radio id's have popped up today. So I'm going with Strongsville PD radio setup/testing. If they follow suit, TG56528 is likely to be the Dispatch TG.

At the moment, Strongsville Dispatch RID 1050 on TG56528 appears to be unencrypted, but all other responding radios(officers) are encrypted. RID1050 started making calls at 1:14AM but I wasn't there to catch any of it.

Has Cleveland Public Power made the switch to this system yet?

Doesn't appear to be

Has anyone been hearing the Southwest Suburbs, Brook Park, Middleburg Hts. Fire, Berea and Olmsted Falls? Since the evening of 2/5 I haven't heard any traffic except two calls on Middleburg Hgts EMS.

At 8:45 I began hearing some traffic from Brook Park police. Two cars said they were out at Motorola. Not sure what is going on.

question ?

I hope that is the right place to ask this ?

I was told last evening, by someone who should know,
that "The city of Parma" will not be moving anyplace, but
stay on their existing System. ( EDACS or P-25 ???)
( not to be confused with the SWRCN system).
Checking RRDB, I don't see anything relative to
the City of Parma, BUT, i could be blind. . . .

Been hearing nonstop Brook Park traffic within the last 1/2 hour.

It looks like SWRCN is gone now.
Can anyone help confirm dead frequencies, like CCSO on 423MHz, or if they're patched to GCRCN?
