When having multiple NMO mount antennas, is it necessary to ground each antenna seperately or together on one ground line?... Or, are the antennas grounded through the sheet metal of the vehicle?

They will all tie together through the sheet metal. You DO need to make sure you have a good ground contact with the sheet metal for each one in order for the ground plane effect to work properly. Sand any paint or primer on the inside portion near the mount if necessary. Don't rely on just the edge of the cut metal to make contact.

When mounting antennas, you want to figure out your spacing and stuff prior to tossing them up. Look for at least a quarter wave of the lower frequency between the two antennas.
