Just picked up this radio, works well, but I just can't figure out how to enable auto memory scan. Manual is worthless. Any help is much appreciated. Mike

Auto Scan works only for FM and MW. Whats wrong with storing freqs manually? Atleast then you store the ones you want... Is there something you are struggling with?

Don't think you understand me...I have several freqs stored in memory, and the manual says you can auto-scan these stored memorys, but the instructions sure don't work! Says to hold down the tune up or tune down buttons for 2 sec.,PRESETS will flash, then auto scan will begin. Have tryed everything I can think of,but no luck.

Ok so let me get this straight instead of just rolling the wheel and finding a stored station to listen to you rather hit a button and let it scan for a stored station, Well ok.... Make sure you are in the bank you want to hear should say page 01 or whatever then hold up arrow for 2 secs and let it scan it will stop on each for a couple seconds if this is not what you want then explain better. Also FWIW the manual SUCKS!

Also one more thing try not to make snide remarks when someone is trying to help you. The way I just repeated works on MY 750 take yours back or dont be so lazy and scan through your stored frequencies by turning the big wheel its much faster anyway...

Let's knock off the name calling and sarcasm...

There's another point to be heard here. Even if the 750 could do a memory scan on HF, it's dubious if it would be worth anything. Most scanning of this nature is defeated by the fact that noise levels vary - they tend to be worse on the lower bands. Noise, data signals and just about anything else would tend to stop the scan. It's kinda dumb anyway - you can't program it to ignore certain things, unlike scanning on the VHF/UHF bands.

best regards...Mike

The whole point of band scanning is searching out freq's. I love turning the VFO and pushing buttons...

The auto scanning is boring....

Remember the old radios how much tuning and pushing buttons... AH the old days.....

I wish I had a time machine to bring me to the 50's, THAT WAS a good time for SW....
