This video doesn't say how much power if offered on VHF marine band, I suspect it is perhaps 1/2 watt, but often times that is all you need. Gee, what next, an actual NOAA Weather Radio built in with SAME decoding? Or legal, license free MURS channels with PL/DPL. Again, even if it is only 1/2 watt, that would give off-network simplex. Or for us hams, give us the ability to listen to our favorite repeater. This really does bring us some interesting possibilities if it does come to fruition.
