GTA / Hamilton Amateur

Is there no ham radio in the GTA, or am I missing something? I am in Hamilton and am hearing a fraction of what I think I should be hearing. What gives, bad location, no repeaters, gone digital? I have all the freqs
I could find on the net and very little action. Can't figure it out. Don't have the greatest antenna setup, and am in the lower city. I am hoping that is the problem.

Just quiet this time of year. Everyone is either at home taking it easy or off to see family. Been basically quiet since Christmas. Been working down in southern Florida for the week and connecting for a few of the GTA east repeaters via IRLP and Echolink when i get time. The repeaters down here are fairly quiet too. Just the usual short holiday chatter, except for the Cuban/spanish used repeaters.

It has been very quiet here in Burlington from Christmas also, surprised to not hear anything on new years. But i am also a new ham so i do not really know how the repeater traffic is like here.
