Ham show in Timonium

Next week they are having a Ham show at the Fairgrounds in Timonium.
3-26,-3-27 Sat & sun. I plan on being there with some scanners,coax,and some antennas for sale.

Greater Baltimore Hamboree & Computerfest

I was there last Saturday at about 3pm. I hate to criticize, but it was pretty lame - sparsely populated, mostly stuff that you can purchase online. I was a bit disappointed. Does the good stuff clear out early?

Three p.m. is just about when every hamfest shuts down or starts to shut down. Timonium this year was the largest it's been in perhaps the last five years. Attendance was moderate by past standards, but all in all it was pretty good, including many, many tables of used Motorola radios, including what seemed like tons of HT750s, But, attendance aside, you have to get there before the thing is over to have any chance at anything good. By noontime every thing is pretty picked over. We have about fifteen decent hamfests in the DC Metro area and Timonium is the largest these days, the only problem being the weather which at times at the end of March can be absolutely awful.

No offense, but 3PM for any hamfest is really a waste of time unless you have no other choice. The best stuff is from 1700 the night before till about noon the day of. Sorry you missed it, as other than the temperature this was the best GBHC in years.
