So Hamburg runs on 460.43750 on NXDN. I have a BCD436 with the NXDN up-grade. Shouldn’t I be able to receive them?

Yes if your close to them and depending on the antenna you have

i have no issues picking up hamburg PD in cheektowaga. I have a omniX antenna

Yea I’m Picking up Lackawanna no problem. But not Hamburg, and I live there. I must have hit something or another 🤷‍♂️…. Ugh

Make sure u have RAN 24 programmed as well as the freq

You lost me there on the Ran 24.

NXDN uses RAN. Analog uses CTCSS and P25 radios use NAC. If you have nothing in the scanner or the wrong info you will not hear anything.

Ugh, so wish I new why I can’t hear them. Do you think I have to change anything from the Zip code finder? Every channel works that way.

Data Base shows three frequencies with one being Encrypted.

If you're using the Zip Code function on the scanner, and haven't updated the master DB, you will need to update it using Sentinel.
The scanners typically come with a really old version of the DB.

You don't need the RAN programmed in to hear an NXDN system. It will decode in search mode with no problem.
I have several NXDN users around here programmed in without the RAN entered.
