Hamilton Ambulance

Hi all,

I have a GRE-500 (thanks torontokris!). I imported the Hamilton Public Works groups from RR using Win-500. All the Fire, Police and Public Works talk-groups work 100%. For whatever reason, I'm not getting any Ambulance transmitions. I used to have a PRO-95 and had the same problem.

Any ideas on what I have configured wrong? The Hamilton Ambulance is on the same Fleetnet as the rest of the Public Works groups right?

Any help would be appreciated.

Whatever scanner you are using is not set up properly because Hamilton EMS is 24/7 365. I hear it all the time off Charlton.

Fleetnet is set up differently than the city system, there are offsets and such to enter in.

Hamilton Ambulance is on zone 1 bell fleetnet with opp mto mnr etc if you enter the freq of the tower with hamilton ambulance and the base offset and step you should be ready to go

charlton tower 142.3500 primary control 142.8000 secondary
T1 base 141.015 step 15.0 offset 380
T2 base 151.730 step 15.0 offset 579
T3 base 154.320 step 15.0 offset 632
enter this freq into your scanner and you should be able to get ems all the time

After receiving your message I first tried to enter it in as a P25 system (thinking this is what's needed for APCO25), but then realised it's a Motorolla VHF system.

It's now working perfectly and I'm happily hearing all EMS and OPP.

After receiving your message I first tried to enter it in as a P25 system (thinking this is what's needed for APCO25), but then realised it's a Motorolla VHF system.

It's now working perfectly and I'm happily hearing all EMS and OPP.
