Hampton Roads Smart Traffic

I heard of an accident reported on 264. Fire, rescue and police responded. State Police dispatcher stated "I have Smart Traffic on Public Service" and then relayed their question.

My question is what frequency or talk group are they on. I have the listed Stars smart traffic entered, and never hear them or I am just missing them.

Old wired technology in play here.

When VSP says "public service" they are referring to the telephone.

Also, SMART traffic is on Chesapeake's trunked system TG 27760 analog.

I have never heard Smart Traffic on the Chesapeake system. Just to be sure I checked that tag 27760 and it is programmed. All the dispatches Ive heard from Control was on 47.300 Unless I'm monitoring a completely different agency

The Virginia state highway system is not on the stars system yet.

Smart traffic will talk state pd units on tg 52 some times.

I also would hear Smart Traffic on Stars (Ches VSP T2). I guess thay have a Stars radio with there dispatcher and they relay on their angency system.

Edit: I just heard a Smart Traffic (SST) unit report a road rage incident on 64 in Newport News. The dispatcher relayed to VSP by telephone who then dispatched troopers.
