In the database, it says Motorola entered a bid and won thr rights to build a new TRS in Hanover County with completion in 12/2009. My main question, and I'm not sure if anyone knows the answer, is: Will it be a digital system like the previous update said they were looking for?

Thanks
Nick

The word is that the bid hasn't been accepted and that they were still in competitive negotiations...And yes, it'll be digital.

I saw an article in the paper that said the Board of Supervisors approved the funding for a new system to be built by Motorola.

That's what the database says also. I guess it's going to be a "wait and see how long it takes before it happens" game.

The contract's going to Motorola - nobody else even submitted a RFP...But last I heard - and it may be outdated - the RFP wasn't officially awarded.

If a new Motorola trs is installed what happens to their present EDACS system? Maybe they could list it on Ebay.

I think it was getting trashed [kidding]. I believe Moto takes that kind of stuff on a trade-in sometimes...

You want it? haha

EBAY's the perfect choice....

It's only been a couple of years since a Hanover radio tech was seeing their radios on E-Bay. Now you can buy something they'll work with!
