Around here, after normal working hours, the FD responds to snake abatement calls.

Someone must be testing codes in the system or having a little fun in the call center

I woke up in a co-ed dorm one morning to the girls across the hall screaming about boa constrictor in their room. It belonged to a guy down the hall. So removal could be the real deal.

Later I heard a dispatcher laughing almost to much to reply say "Copy. Clear and secure on the iguana tank fire." I didn't understand it but the laughter was contiguous. Just a month later a friend of my son moved and we took over a pet lizard. I learned that many reptiles need "heat rocks". And yes, powered from a wall outlet. Some species require careful wire routing to prevent them from chewing the insulation. I was relived to learn our new pet wasn't known for that. Probably a legit dispatch.

It's a legitimate call. Maricopa County FDs got stuck with this type of nonsense, instead of the previous practice of referring callers to herpetologists.
