Pro-652: Heap Error?

I programmed a RadioShack PRO-652 for a friend and he had a financial problem and had to sell it, and he said it worked perfectly and was working when he sold it, but the person he sold it to came back and said it wasn't working right, and my friend showed me what it was doing and it scans fine, but if you press any buttons at all, even the MAN button to hold on a channel, it says "Heap error 263126 : 2638" The only way to get it to scan again is to cycle power. I was just gonna reset it and start over with it again, especially since it wasn't finished anyway, but I was just curious what this meant and if there's something I should know before I try to fix it. Also, it appears that the guy he sold it to tried to program more channels into it, because when it scans, some of them say "Channel" which is what it shows when no alpha tag was programmed for that one, and everything I programmed into it had an alpha tag, so none of them should be labeled as "Channel".

something isnt programed properly, check the program for some missing data and reload it back to the scanner.

Okay. So it sounds like he tried to program more TGIDs but didn't assign them to MARCS or any other network. Thank you 🙂👍

Heap error means there is a talkgroup or talkgroups not associated with a trunked system.
