yes that was last year when it sounded like sonicbooms, never heard what those were either and probly never will (they THINK it was explosives being set off at camp minden). it just kinda went quiet on that. this boom was a different type though. you could hear it in a distance, then the noise sounded like it was rite on top of you then it went silent just that fast. it done the same thing roughly 2 mins later, the one yesterday was single and you did not hear anything till it sounded like it was on top of us then it was gone just as fast. I would like to think it was fighter jets BUT to my knowledge it seems way way to fast to be a jet. regardless it left everyone around here shakeing, not from fear, but the sound of it seems to affect nerves. on another note anyone hearing any odd signal patterns on air band 125.000 and no it does not sound like a birdie that I have ever heard but more of a scramble tones.

A sonic boom is not just one boom. They are two booms in very rapid sucsession. Ba.boom. the closer you are to the plane the closer they are. The further away the more time between them.

thanks for that link. seems this has been going on for a few days now so that article is quiet possably what it is and if it is all I can say is ....... well can't say it here lol but yea that is crazy fast and I would not want to be the 1 flying one .now they just need to make it where it does not affect the nervous system when close by but that might be another thing they are testing and if so it works.

Pretty sure they aren't worried about your nervous system. But you could try calling your local town hall and see if anything can be done. ;)

yea obvesly, I was just stateing that it did affect everyone around here though and even 1 person had a heart attack and died up the road because of it. local sheriff's office was aware of it but also had no clue about it supposedly.not sure town hall could do anything about it since they are clueless as well.and if it is the testing of the new jets then probly best I stay out of it lol. but that is not a good way to get woke up ugh.i just feel they could have alerted everyone that there will be booms and or testing going on if that was in fact what it was.

Asking in the wrong place....

Well, I could contact the local TV stations news department in your area and have them inquire about it.
I would imagine if it was as wide spread and as intense as your claiming many others would be asking the same questions by now.

The FAA has rules in place about aircraft going supersonic over populated areas.

You aren't going to get your answers here as it's a local problem for you.

Not saying this is the same thing, but I was told by a friend west of Sacramento they heard "booms" a few days ago. Not once but several times.
I would have guessed fault line activities. Nothing reported and no booms since.

the local sheriff's office heard it as well yesterday but unaware of what it might have been is what they said.and they are about 25miles from here.i also checked on spaceweather, nasa just to see if might have anything with solar flares, ect. I will try to get in touch with the air base in the town about 40miles from here just to see if they have any training going on,but very unlikely they will tell us anything.
