The story I have is the chopper fueled at the airport in Georgetown and headed east. A fire police officer from Dagsboro heard the chopper go down and asked Sussex by radio if they had any reports of a plane crash. After searching the fire police found the downed chopper in a field near his house.
Fog is so heavy I cant see the house next to me and its only sixty feet away.
WBOC will probably have the story on their site.
With the heavy fog the last few days not having instrument rating raises a Red flag in my book.
Hard to believe that Charter company lets pilots fly in poor weather without instrument rating.
I can hear the lawsuits coming and wouldn't blame them one bit.
Seems She flew Chopper right into the ground but lets wait till all the facts are in!
