Hi folks,

I'm a brand new member to this forum, currently residing in Taneytown, MD. I feel at home because there seem to be a few Carroll County folks in here. Nice to meet you all!

Had a question for the long time scanners in here. Does anybody know the radio frequencies for McDaniel College (i.e. campus security)? Also, could anybody tell me the dispatch frequency for the Taneytown police department? (Not sure if they share frequencies with the CC sheriff)

Can't advise on McDaniel, Check the Database portions of this website for lots of frequncy/talkgroup info. I'd do it for you now but I'm at work. The PD you ask about is trunked so there isn't one particular frequency.

This should get you started....and since that listing is merely a license listing and not part of "the" RR database, they'll need identifying (if you can receive them well in T-town, that is). Thanks for volunteering! :wink:

To answer your other question, Taneytown P.D. is dispatched by MSP-Westminster Barrack. They're on the Carroll County trunked system, and also simulcast on MSP lowband freq of 39.52.

Thank you, luckily I already have the MSP lowband freq in my scanner. Gotta save $$$$ for a trunking scanner.
