Help a Parker new Guy! :)

i would like to really get back into police scanners... i live in Parker so really wanna get into City Police and Douglas County Sheriff .... not sure if i can get Denver police living in Parker?
any info on what kinda scanner i need? help on programing it? looking at ordering the The Bearcat BCD396T?

Well to get Douglas County and Parker PD you will need a Digital Scanner. As for getting Denver, soon they will be turning on a feature that makes it so they can not be scanned. Erik(abqscan) works at the Radio Shack in Parker. He is always willing to help program and give advise on a good scanner for someone. Welcome to the Colorado forum!

Welcome to the Colorado Forum. I personnally would go with the 396t. I have owned radio shack scanners and think that the Uniden is a better scanner. Also, if Douglas County and/or Parker go to 700mhz, you will be out of luck, unless you get a GRE500/600 or a Uniden 396t.
