Hi,

I got a used walk/don't walk light w/ the countdown. I almost had it working (I've been playing with it trying to make it so I can manually activate the countdown and manually switch between walk and don't walk), and then I had the wires put together to test manually activating it, and I don't know what happened, but I can't get power to the circuit board now. It has two circuit boards (Countdown and walk/don't walk) I can get the walk/don't walk circuit board to power up, but not the countdown. The countdown circuit board is the one that you connect the power to. I don't have a whole lot of knowledge about this subject, so please use plain english when answering this question.

Final question: Can you help me figure out what happened and how to fix it?

Thank you in advance!

You might want to include the make/model number of the device or a photo of the ID plate.

The first problem solving step I'd try is checking fuses and looking for obviously damaged/burned out components on the circuit boards.
Next, I'd check to see of there's power getting to the display from the circuit board(s).

Hopefully, you have a VOM (Volt-Ohm Meter) as you'll probably need it for any testing. If not, Harbor Freight or Amazon should be your next stop.
