I'm new to this and need help. I have the Radioshack pro 106. This question relates to the AWIN trunking system, here is the link to it Arkansas Wireless Information Network (AWIN) Trunking System, Statewide, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

Right now I have the Arkansas State Police Troop A programmed. The TGIDs I have are DEC 1 and 3 for Troop A North and South Dispatch. I also have the control channels for troop a programmed in the TSYS that TGIDs 1 and 3 are in. This TSYS is called State Police and there are a total of 14 CCc for troop A in this TSYS.

What I need help with is getting the other troops without having to make a TSYS for each troop. I want troop A to be how it is now. I would love to load Troop B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L in one TSYS but I cant because of how many CCs there are. My question is if I have the TGIDs for Troop B-L loaded in one TSYS, but the CCs for some of those troops are in a different TSYS with no TGIDs, will it still work? For the AWIN system, there are 107 Primary and Alternate CCs and I can only load 33 per TSYS.

This may not make sense but I tried my best to explain it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you exceed 32 control channels, you need to create a new TSYS (as you seem to have deduced).

TGRPs are associated with exactly one TSYS. For each TSYS you end up creating, you'd need to add the TGRPs that may appear on the site(s) within that TSYS. For any talkgroups that might appear in sites that you've programmed in different TSYS objects, you'll need duplicate TGRPs. If a talkgroup can only appear in (or if you only want to monitor it in) one site / TSYS, then you only need to program one TGRP object.

Hi John,

I can't answer this question any better than DonS has. Like I said in the other thread, I wish the PSR-500 would hold more CC's per TYS. The only other suggestion that I have is to go onto Arkansas's forum and see if someone will send you a copy of their AWIN file... when you get a system that big, sometimes someone else may have ideas to save space.

BTW, if you're using Win500, DonS is the author of it.
