ok, now a week ago when i listened to the sheriff radios is sounded different. the dispather let go of the button and the radio went off, not she lets go and it makes a sound, then goes off. before it just went right off. why did they change this? thanks.

Very difficult to answer your question. Could you provide the name and location of the sheriffs office you have been listening to?
It could be a repeater closing doing this. It could be something they want to do or it could be a malfunction.
