Try the stickied thread on programming your Uniden scanner for Fleetnet. I believe the BCT8 is very similar to the BC396.

Not that it helps you with the issue of not hearing anything, but just a heads up. The database entry for Niagara EMS can be a bit confusing. There are channels listed as "Hamilton Niagara North" and "Hamilton Niagara South". These are NOT used in Niagara anymore. Niagara got back it's own CACC after the Fleetnet radios were configured. You'll want to be sure you program the ones under Niagara ACS (Niagara North, Niagara South, etc...)

Thanks for the help. I think I've entered things as I should according to:

http://www.radioreference.com/forums/showthread.php?p=664698

But I'm getting nothing. It doesn't seem to pause on the trunked channels and I don't even get any sort of noise when I manually select that bank.

Not usually a dunce, but I'm missing something.

Where are you located?
Which tower are you trying to hit?
From what I remember the towers that affiliate with Niagara CACC are
Hamilton, Fonthill, N.Falls.

The first thing you need to do is see if you get a signal for any of the areas closest towers:
See if you hear a grinding sound on these frequencies:

142.350 Hamilton
142.320 Fonthill
142.095 the falls

If you can recieve a consistent signal from any of the three you will be able to listen to the ambulance.
