Guys,
I am new to scanners. I have a radio shack Pro 95 Scanner w/ trunking ability.

I need to imput local Fire/Police Frequencies into my scanner. I notice on this page.....http://www.geocities.com/hebron228/intranet/scanner2.html

It has Scanner Frequency then PL/DPL What is PL/DPL.

I must need the Pl/DPL inputed into my scanner because I noticed all the local towns near me use the similar frequency but they all have a different PL/DPL Im assuming that number helps identify each town but im not quite sure.

I need all the help I can get bc I need this for my job, im a TV photog.

EXAMPLE
Manchester Fire

153.890 107.2
154.415 107.2

the 107.2 is the PL/DPL but I cant find in the user manual of my Radio Shack Pro 95 scanner that shows what it is can my scanner take these types of frequencies?

the pro 95 Scanner does not display PL/DPL
if Town a Fire is on "155.0000" and Town B is on the same Freq. then you would need to have there PL/DPL enterd

"more than one agency (or fleet) to use the same radio frequency without causing undue interference to another agency on the that frequency"

So if there on the exact same frequency then you would be out of luck with the pro 95.
You could need to try to memorize the dispatch voice to figure out what town there belong to.

At the same time, if you are using the stock Pro-95 antenna, the next town, or county, depending on terrain and distance, this other town may not be a factor. Especially so if their radios are not repeated.

Kevin,
The answers you got here on this thread are basically the same as what you got when you asked in the CT Forum.
