Hi Team,
I recently picked up a pair of radios to program my biz frequencies into, and was curious to see if I could get the channel to work on digital versus analog (original radios were all CP200's and an analog repeater, which we have decommed long ago and just use simplex on the older units).
For some reason, if I right-click and add an analog channel, and match all of the same channel specs as the CP200s, works fine and without issue, all able to interop. When I add a digital channel, following the same steps and same frequency even, all I get is the "bonk" or "busy" tone. Any idea where I went wrong? I'd like to start phasing out the CP200's in favor of CP200D's or XPR's as we find them used, but want to understand more about using our existing frequencies without having to add a repeater back into the mix. It's funny, I almost decided to change radio brands, and for some reason, just can't bring myself to leave the ol /\/\
Thanks all for the help!
