I recently purchased a used repeater in a cabiner. The radio tests fine, but the RF amp seems to be dead.
It is a Henry C100D30R 100 Watt UHF. I noticed that the power supply for the amp had malfunctioned and fed 25V DC to the amp. The internal fuse on the amp is intact. Any ideas on how to test or repair the amp?

To test:

Hook up the amp to a 13.8VDC 25~30Amp power supply.

Use a mobile with about 25 Watts output to drive the amp
on the input on the freq that the amp was being used on or
as close to that freq as possible.

On the ouput of the amp run a cable to the input of a good
quality rf power meter such as a Bird 43 or a Telewave 44.
From the power meter run a cable to a good quality high
power rf dummy load. Make sure you use good quality
interconnecting rf cables in this test. Make sure the meter
is setup for the proper 100+ Watt range.

Key up the mobile and see if you get any power output
readings on the power meter. Make your initial key ups
are short in case the amp is really dead. If the amp is
dead then send the amp back to Henry to fix it or make
sure someone qualified is going to repair it.
