I'm trying to find the Hewlett FD frequency and I have used everything that was stated here on RR and haven't ever heard them.

Tones on 46.10 ops on 46.20

The UHF channel listed is simply a crossband of 46.10 it’s so their tones go over UHF And lowband.

I’m not looking for their Fireground. I’m looking for the frequency that the tones go off on

They are toned out on 453.325 PL 100.0 along with frankilyn square

Justin,

Tones out go over:
46.10
453.325 PL 100.0

Justin.

You don't hear them on 46.10 or 453.325?

Where are you listening to them from and on what type of radio/antenna?

I believe you it’s just that I’ve never heard their tones go out on that frequency. I’ve monitored it for days and haven’t heard anything.
I am reluctant to get involved since I am not in the area, but, it seems that it is confirmed the actual tones are sent on 46.10 and the alarm may also be transmitted on County 453.325. If the UHF is not a direct repeat of 46.10 it is possible only the voice and not the tones are transmitted on that frequency.

Are you saying you are monitoring 46.10 and do not hear the tones? Since 46.10 is the known actual tone-out frequency that is what you should be monitoring. Assuming the voice dispatch and response is also transmitted over UHF there would be no need to send the tones on there if the tone operated alerting devices are all on 46.10.

I can't say for sure how Hewlett operates but it is common in many systems that have an alarm dispatched on more than one frequency that the tone encoder only keys the alerting frequency and the voice goes out on all frequencies.

I am listening a couple blocks away from the station, using a Motorola 1250 and used 453.325 pl 100. Now some others are saying the same frequency but with pl 135.5

Do Nassau depts tone out for pager and radio tests like Suffolk do? If so, can someone advise around what time Hewlett does so the OP can have a listen to 453.325 in CSQ?

Use CSQ and see what happens.

Listen to this feed along with your scanner tuned to 453.325 CSQ . If you hear it on the feed, and did not hear it on your scanner, there could be an issue with your Motorola. Keep in mind the feed will have a slight delay.

Hi all,
I'm trying to find the Hewlett FD frequency and I have used everything that was stated here on RR and haven't ever heard them. I was wondering if anyone knows anything else, or if they went P25 or something.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Try 3rd Bn West frequencies

Alert 453.1625 DCS 351
Ops1 453.6875 DCS 565
Ops2 460.525 DCS 423
FG 460.5373 DCS 423
FG 465.6125 CTCSS 167.9

These are a combination of the old Hewlett, Woodmere and Lawrence-Cedarhurst frequencies.

Where did you get this info from? I heard them just now on 453.325 and I was using CSQ. Have to try 136.5 next

But on Friday when they were assisting WFD,LCFD and IFD their dispatch was talking to them on the frequency 465.6125 and either way they’re operations are on 46-20 xband repeater 460.5375. I also hear VSFD, and 650 on there as well. There has to be a PL tone to just hear Hewlett’s right?

That does not make sense, that frequency is used by battalions which are no where near where Battalion 3 (Hewlett) operates.

You do not need any pl or dcs tone to listen to any freq. You would want one if different entities operate on the same freq and you want to isolate one and not hear the others..
