Put the two sites in a new P25 system, and use ID Search instead of ID Scan.
I did see the comments (on Bosque's site) about upgrading their current radio system. The fill in site is what I guessed it would be used for, since why would Bosque spend money on upgrading the current system if they were planning to switch.
I also agree that perhaps they should have joined either HOTRRS or NTIRN. The SW Johnson County site on NTIRN is near the county line between Hill & Johnson counties.
Actually, I should correct something here (and I should never reply again while I’m mobile). HCSO uses the P25 156.0 frequency currently marked on RR as Ch2 car to car as their primary dispatch (not car to car). This has been in place for about 2 years when they went P25. The legacy ch 1 155.550 isn’t used - at least I have not heard analog or P25 on it in about 2 years.
156.0 is also currently patched as TG 1 on the new digital system. This is a testing action and they take it down here and there. They also currently have Hill County Fire Dispatch 154.0475 patched to the digital system Tg 41200. They do seem to pull it down quite a bit as well while they are working on set up if the new system.
