Recently, the county that I provide a feed for upgraded to a Harris P25 system. Which is a much needed upgrade over their outdated 800mhz trunking system. Many of the volunteer fire and EMS folks have asked me to keep the feed up and running for them. Which I am more than happy to do. However, the only scanner that I have, that will receive their radio traffic, is a Uniden Home Patrol 2. Currently, it is setup in a simple configuration using a 3.5mm aux cord that runs from the speaker output of the scanner to the microphone input of the computer. Which doesn't have the best audio going across the feed. My question is, does anyone else use a Home Patrol 2 for their feed? If so, how do you have it configured? It would be awesome to have this setup to provide the feed with the channel tags. But I'm not sure how to configure everything to make that work.
