There might be a post on this that I mist, but what type of software is out there for updating the home patrol? I'm thinking about purchasing the scanner and some software so I can add some private freqs. and a favorites list. Also some pricing would be great.

Any opinions are welcome.

Thanks, Ryan

I am working on PowerPatrol and its coming along well. We can load the DB, edit it, and save it. A few more loose ends need to be tied up and it will be ready for a beta test.

It does appear to be ready for testing now. Is that correct? I see it on your site.

Yep. And Assaf has said that features will be added as time
allows.
But yes the beta is available on scannow.org.

Does it have import from RR like FreeScan? I downloaded it to have a look and the Import on the menu is grayed out. Was hoping to build up a file for a new HP-1 a friend bought and go program it for him.

The HP-1 doesn't handle the MN ARMER system too well so a lot of manual programming is needed here.

I would say that is based on your location or antenna. In western Hennepin Co., I have a 396XT & a HP-1 sitting right next to each other.

Other than the lack of adjustable delay time, the HP-1 is waxing the 396XT on receive. I'm picking up things like Capitol Security which I never picked up on the 396 at all.

Just explaining my experience.
