I dug my HP-1 out of a closet after a few years of non-use. It appears that I have no database. The SD card appears blank. I tried "updating" to it - nothing.
I tried reformatting and trying a second, different SD card, then updating - still nothing. Updated Sentinel, and the unit says my firmware is up to date.

I can't seem to find where I can download the database from scratch. It appears ScannerMaster will sell me one (loaded SD card) for $60, but was hoping to avoid that expense. Is there an online resource to get my HP database reloaded and back in service? Thanks in advance.

Be sure to put the scanner in "mass storage mode" first.

Format the card using this utility (recommended by Uniden)....

Then use the "clear user data" function in Sentinel (check the box that says "display all drives")

next... Update the database in Sentinel

then write to the scanner.
