I'm the Horry County, SC area and have been providing the Horry County Fire/Rescue feed since late summer/early fall and have come into a problem.
The scanners I' using are a BCD996XT and also use my 396T for the vehicle...one of my control channels 858.2125 keeps locking up the scanner with a interference sound...it will still pick up traffic but all the traffic...much like it does when the system is in failsafe mode.
If I turn the vfo a knotch just to get it off that spot usually will put it back into id scan for a while then will again lock up.
I have checked my programming and can't find any problems that I see there and on my 396T I also run the palmetto 800 and don't seem to have problems with it at all...
And if it helps I do have a Austin ferrit base antenna with LMR-400 cable...no pre-amps on the line...on the 396T it is just the stock antenna.
Oh and also if it helps the other control channels are: 857.2125, 858.2125, 858.6875, and 859.2125.
Anyone had similar issues or have thoughts of how to fix this???
Thanks.
