Just seen on Ricky Stokes News that Houston County Sheriff will be getting their new system, S and P is installing it and the system will be Digital UHF. The article did not say when it will be completed.

Are you able to hear the county fire/ems on NEXEDGE?

jmichjr Houston county ems and fire departments are on the system below as Trunk Group 106. Houston
county sheriff is on Dothans 800 meg system as Trunk Group 5951. I put this on RR about 4 months ago.
S & P's system for the sheriff is not online yet that I know of. Because the network has 2 site 3's a scanner
may not track properly. I will monitor today and verify that Houston ems and fire are still using Metro Link's
system. PM me if you want.

Here is what I have for the Metro Link / Seminole comm system.
There are 5 sites for Network system L30. Two of the sites report
3 as their number. 1 of the sites uses channel numbers used by another
site. Confusing but it works because they aren't neighbors on the system.
I use DSDPlus software to listen and it is confused, so I lock out 1 of the
sites to make it work. I have not tried with my scanner, too complicated
and time consuming. I have monitored it for the past week and this is
what I have seen. There is more freqs in the license's but aren't active.

Control Channel - on nexedge 1 of the freqs transmit all the time, sometimes the CC channel will
change to 1 of the other freqs. If you see HCSO on any of these freqs its Henry County Sheriff Office, confused
me for a while. Just looked at TG106 and Southern Junction is the only one with an active radio yet. I am gonna
send you a PM (private message).

Hey boss!

Was just checking in to see if you've got any update on these frequencies!?
I upgraded my BCD436HP with the NEXEDGE upgrade, do I need to upgrade to DMR in order to hear them as well?

No they are all nexedge 48. No changes in frequencies. Which of the 5 can you receive the CC control channel?
It will depend on your antenna's location and height. I think I may have a bad coax connection at my antenna,
its been up there 5-6 years now. I can get 3 of the 5 medium strength but 2 are weak. I don't have bearcat
scanner that will receive nexedge or dmr. Got a whistler to play with but I like to use my rtl dongles and computer.
Do you have the 436 programmed? I'll google and get a manual and see if it is close to a S100(?), got that manual.

Checked RR database, MetroLink is not up to date. I will submit it, got to figure out the format again. Do you have
Sentenial program loaded? I see that it will program a BCD436HP. I will email you when I get MetroLink updated into RR.

Uniden and RR finally got their act together. The MetroLink system is finally in the Sentinel database.
It still has 2 site 3's so it may be confusing, but thats the way its setup.
