Hi all. I am feeding the Johnson County Public Safety thread in Johnson County, IN. I have a BCD325P2 that is connected to a Dell Optiplex 3010 desktop computer. The audio connection is made with a 3.5 mm audio cable with a line isolator plugged into the headphone jack on the scanner and the microphone jack on the computer. I am sending the feed to Broadcastify with scannercast currently and plan to eventually use Proscan as I bought that.

I am maybe a bit of an audio snob, but I believe my feed is a little hot sounding and so at times I don't think it sounds crisp and clear as much as it could be. Is there a way to adjust audio settings to try and clean up the audio some? Reduce the bass and bring up the mids and highs so the voices are cleaner? Interested in knowing what some of you do to make your audio the best sounding as possible in the feed. Thanks.

Based on my FOH sound mixing experience, I've found the best sound comes from running the source as hot as you can without overdriving the input of the mixer (sound card in a PC). Then use the software's adjustment (and/or Windows mixer) to achieve about -3 to -1 dBFS on the (free download) Orban Loudness Meter. That's how I have my feed setup and I think it sounds pretty good... little bit of hiss which can only be heard on my iPhone app, but no clipping or distortion.
